One of Nature's Gift Surprises
This morning as I was going to church along the road that goes to Colza Corners, a beautiful ring-necked pheasant flew across the road just ahead of me. It was a long graceful sweep, just high enough to be above the car. I joyed to see it. I don't remember when I ever saw a pheasant in flight It was glorious.
(I think I made up joyed, using joy as a verb, but it's what I did.)

at 11/28/2004 7:05:33 PM- It was enjoyment, for sure. The male pheasant's colors are magnificent and their tail is long and tailored and the whole effect was graceful. I was so thankful that I got to see it this morning. And to think, there could be pheasants in that brush all the time when I'm going past there but I don't usually get to see them.

I rejoice to see your creative use of words and your enjoyment of God's creation.
