Second Hit
After I went shopping early this morning, I went to work in the yard again. It’s a beautiful day here! I got too tired yesterday afternoon to finish picking up the raspberry canes that I’d pruned out of the patch. I started with that. It took at least several trips to the curb to get the area cleared up. I also sawed a couple of limbs off the lilac bush at the corner. They were sticking far out into the path that I have to take to get back into the raspberry patch from that side of the patch.
As I was going through the yard carrying the lilac branch that I had just sawed off, a man was heading into my yard from the sidewalk. He paused and said, "Are you familiar with geocashing?" I laughed and said, "Yes." He told me that he’d been here before but couldn’t find it that time and when he got home and was thinking it over he realized that it had to be something to do with the log that was hanging down from the tree. I asked for his name and just as I thought, he is indeed Shrecky.
As I took my lilac limb to the brush pile, Shrecky told me that he’d come prepared to have to dig through the peanut butter! Ack! I’m glad he noticed the string hanging down before he did that. He found it easily this time.
What fun!
