Geocache at Home
My son set up a geocache right here at my place and I'm so tickled! When I first learned about this hobby, I suggested a place where I could have one, but at that time he thought it might not be a good idea in case the people coming didn't get true readings from their GPS and they would "invade" neighbor yards, or even tramp through my flower beds. However, we've gotten a pretty good feel for how this hobby works and it really seems like these people are very considerate about the way they search for the hidden object and they don't mess up or destroy property. So now I have one on my own property and I'm really excited about it.
The first person came last evening, while my friend and I walked to the Dollar Store for me to get some shampoo. My backdoor neighbor told me about it when I got home. I had explained to her what was going on for I knew she would notice if people came looking around through my yard. As we got back home, she called to me to tell me that someone had been looking for the hidden cache. And, she said, he never went near the real place. He looked around the bird feeder and back porch and under it and in some of the flower beds, but not at the place where the cache is hidden.
Now I'm trying to keep an eye out for when he comes back. I want him to find it!

Kinda like hiding Easter eggs?
