Morning Work
This morning I finished up the work that I can do on the trumpet vine. There's still a couple really high branches that could be lopped off, but I'm hoping that when they green out, they won't send out too many shoots toward the house and get their tendrils under the siding. It's easier to trim it back when it's dormant but it can be done later in the season, too. When the branches get too close to the side of the house, those vining tendrils can be really bad for the siding. I hope all that sawing toned up my muscles more.

Good morning, Nancy :) As usual, you've been a busy lady.
I was out in the yard yesterday very briefly and noticed a few signs of life in my flowerbeds. I was thinking along the same lines as you that it would be good to get out there and do some pruning and shaping while things are still relatively dormant. My lamb's ears most definitely to be controlled as they were spreading like wildfire last year. They're always the first to poke little green leaves up through the ground, too.
I can't wait for my double-flowering plum to burst into blossom. So far the buds look promising. They've been frozen off years past which is a bummer as it's such a beautiful burst of pink when it manages to bloom.
It's been very springlike here these past few days, reaching highs of around 18C but they're calling for some snow on Sunday night. :( Spring's having a tough time arriving for good.
Happy Easter to you (((big squeeze))
