Odds and Ends

Today I've been doing odds and ends, --picking up clutter, tidying up, a little bit of laundry, some vacuuming.  It's disappointing that I can put energy into these activities and then it doesn't really seem like I've done much of anything.  I think I'm not putting my energy into the right thing.

I just made more Friendship Tea.  I know that doesn't show at all, that I've done anything.  But I'm sipping tea now, while I'm working at the computer, and it certainly hits the spot.  When I'm done here, I have to deal with a few more bills that have come today.  Bills that are unpaid and stacked in a pile take up a lot more energy than checks in an envelope waiting to be mailed.

Today is a beautiful day.  It's calm and peaceful and the weather is like early April!

    What is friendship tea?

I call "doing odds and ends," puttering around the house. I like to do it, because it's not tasking and I feel like I'm putting things in order.

I saw "The End of the Spear" this weekend and I highly recommend it. If you see it, bring tissues.

Lorraine, the tea is made with Tang and lemon Kool Aid, and instant tea with spices, cinnamon and cloves. Some people call it Russian tea. I remember when we got the terrible news that the missionaries were killed. How awful we all felt. God has brought so much glory to His name through that terrible incident. I hope this film will continue to draw people to Him.

Those things may not feel like you've done much, but if you don't do them, you'll notice it after a bit for sure!
I remember Friendship Tea! We made some when I was in Girl Scouts once. I just couldn't remember how it was made, but I do remember it smelled really nice.

Kim, I've often wondered as I do the various odds and ends around the house what it would be like if I didn't do any of them. I think it wouldn't be long till the house was unlivable. It takes a lot of effort to keep things looking good.
