Helping the Library

Today we made a book drop off at the public library.  I had culled a few more of my books to give to them.  I also had some more magazines to give them. At our library, we have a constant magazine sale.  People can bring in their old magazines and others can buy a magazine for a dime.  It's a good deal for readers, it gets rid of old magazines without throwing them away and it makes a little bit of money for the library.  A dime a magazine isn't much but lots and lots of dimes add up.  Lots of people do support this small fund raiser.  We dropped off several magazines and picked up one. My son saw a bicycling magazine that appealed to him so I forked out a dime for him and he is taking the magazine home with him.

It is a good idea for the library. Maybe you can convince your library people to put a stack of old magazines near the sign out desk and see if they'll sell for a dime each. Some of us really hate to just throw things away.
