Office Work
I just started doing the newsletter for the Columbus Church. I didn't want to be involved with making labels and writing calendar dates, but I've not been very good at getting someone else to take over that job. This afternoon, my daughter-in-law helped me with setting up the merge mail data base for a label list, and we actually got it printed. Then I had to work on the birthday list.
My husband was very involved with people and collected birthdates from so many people that he met. Now I had to take a lot of people off his list and try to sort out who should be included on a birthday calendar. That was something I wanted someone else to do, but I'm not too good at delegating. And I know that I probably have the best source of info with the lists my husband had compiled. There are people coming who are new and I don't have their birthdays, but they will have to let me know when their birthdays are.
I'm hoping that now that I've compiled the first set of labels and a viable birthday list, I can give this information to someone else to keep it updated and working each month. I think that should work. There's every reason it should work. It HAS to work. I know I won't always be available to be doing that job for them.
Office work took up a lot of my time today!
