Speed of Talk
A woman I once knew talked like a river flowing, flooding over all
interruptions, pressing forward with her own train of thought no matter
what someone else tried to say, either to add to the conversation or to
change the subject. Her torrent of words flattened every subject,
pressing it to the ground till it was reduced to nothing. When I
was with her, I gave up trying to converse with her and just
listened.

at 12/18/2005 8:40:39 PM- Ok, so I am going to comment once for all the entries, cause I am having a tough time opening sites tonight. I too have hawks, a Coopers Hawk, flies in low and attacks the doves feeding at the platform feeder. He comes in about once or twice a week, grabs a dove or a Junco and flies off again. I worry about him grabbing Lola, but she seems to be quicker than the doves.
My Rabbit LOVES roses. We call them Bunny bon-bons!! and yes deer love them too. If you want the deer dont worry about them, but if you want the roses, hang a bar of deodorant soap in a sock on each bush, and it keeps them away.

That's terrible about losing a bird or two every couple weeks. Well, I know it's all part of life, bird eat bird, but it's horrible any way. We do get to love those little critters.
