Recognizing an Actor
While I was visiting with Jewel tonight, she had the Hallmark channel
on TV and it was showing a program called Meet the Santas. I was
intrigued to see in the opening credits the name Armin Shimerman,
because he plays Quark in Deep Space Nine. I have often wondered
what he really looks like because I'd never seen him except in the
Quark get up with the facial distortions. I knew which one he was
because his voice was pretty much the same and then, when he walked, I
saw that his movements were very much the same, too. It's very
hard to change your voice and your walk, even to play a different role,
---unless you're someone like Robin Williams.
