Why Can't Things Be Simple?
In March I renewed a magazine subscription for my grandson's birthday. The magazine people had sent me a reminder for it and I said, sure, I wanted to give him the magazine for the next year.
Guess what! They started sending me the magazine! And then they sent me a couple of "Urgent" reminders that it's time to renew the subscription for the birthday boy.
I've written to them to correct this mistake. I hope they will. But I can't help wondering what was so hard about it in the first place. Why did they start sending me the child's magazine?

My husband renewed our subscription to our church publication for 25 years because you could do it at the same low price and the next year they were raising it. It turned out to be a really good buy. It felt like we'd never run out of time with that publication, but in due time, we did and then had to pay the new rate. He always believed in doing things in a big way.

And what I hate about them is they send renewal cards waaaay early, and since I am stupid, I renew it thinking gosh that year went fast, then I get another one at the right time and renew that one too, so for better homes and gardens I own subscriptions until year 2009!!! REALLY!
