Groceries
Our local Save-A-Lot just moved into a store along the main route past our town. It's a bigger place and supposed to be a better location. They opened for business there one day last week. I didn't go there until today.
I just needed a couple things, --milk and bananas kind of deal. What a mob there was there! My quiet, easy to shop at store has turned into a crowded zoo. I'm sure it's temporary and after this opening week, things will calm down there again. But for today, I wish I'd gone to a different store.

at 1/27/2005 5:33:41 AM- I hope it does return to normal for you. When I first moved to Florida we lived in a rural area, but it became populated quickly and shopping became a nightmare, especially after work. Now we live "out in the sticks" again, but who knows how long that will last. Sometimes, like last Monday, I get up and go shopping at 7:30 AM when it's very peaceful.

at 1/27/2005 8:19:13 AM- Going shopping early is an option for me and I'll do that if it would get me out of crowds. The thing with S-A-L is that it doesn't open till 9. Lots of people are ready to shop by 9!

Oh, aren't crowds the worst? Especially when you're used to a pleasant shopping experience, having to deal with the hassle just for a couple of items can be frustrating.
